This project is all about modernity, innovation and research at the highest level as well as pure aesthetics. The pharmaceutical group Roche is investing a total of over one billion euros to bring together around 1.800 employees from around 60 nations under one roof in the new research and development centre (pRED - Pharma Research and Early Development).
We are more than proud to have been part of something really big through our client, Jegen AG, and to have contributed to such flexible and state-of-the-art workplaces for more collaboration and communication and sustainable medical solutions.
In order to combine the desired aesthetics with all the necessary functions for the workspace, our curved fire-resistant glass, including sound insulation, was integrated into a high-quality oak frame. We carried out intensive fire safety tests in advance for both the curved glass in the frame and the frameless curved glass to ensure absolute protection. In cooperation with Jegen AG, we thus accompanied the entire process from development and production through to the realization and installation of the glass.
A total of around 1.200 m² of fire-resistant glass was installed, including both EI30 and EI60 classifications in mono and insulating glass. This included 426 individual panes and 32 curved panes, covering an area of around 90 m².
